My mama knows best

It is amazing how the cliché “mother knows best” lives up to itself, because very often, I find this very true personally. There are times when my mama would say a thing to me that I sometimes just ignore, careless as I am to what others would say to me or tell me to do, only to find out later that I should have listened to her. More often than not, the so-called “mother’s instinct” seems to be at work; they can sense what would could possibly happen somehow.

Although I am not a mother – and could not be, literally – I know how hard it is to be a mother. It is a noble job, however, a career that every woman should not miss in her life. Any new mother should be proud of what and who she is to her child because being a caring and loving mother is the greatest gift she can bestow to her brood. And as moms knows best, it is therefore wise (and so pleasant to witness) for a mom to be talking to the more expert moms to get tips and advice in becoming a whole lot better mom. Mom consulting experts is advisable as this will increase any mom’s knowledge on daily care for her children and family.

I know I cannot be a mother literally, as I am born a man, but I can be a mother in my own sense. I truly admire my mother’s profound love for me; it is not like any others’. I am so proud of my mother. My mama knows what’s best for me. So I thank the Lord and the people who made her the way she is now. Forever I will be loving her ways, little or big. I just wish though that I am brave enough to tell her how much I love her…
