Bye, bye, private duty nurse. Hello clinical instructor

Today, I had officially informed my patient’s family that effective Monday, September 8, I will leave my work as a private duty nurse for a better one. I am now applying to be a clinical and classroom instructor for a nursing school in Pampanga, particularly San Fernando, the name of which school is Central Luzon College of Science and Technology.

I really love teaching, so I guess I will be happy with this job despite the fact that I will be miles away from my beloved family. This is for our good anyway.

It so happened that the incumbent dean of Nursing in the school mentioned was one of our clinical instructors during our college days here at St. Mary’s College - Tagum City. I heard of this opportunity through my best friend Marc, saying that our previous-C.I.-turned-dean would actually accept applicants who only have 3-months of hospital experience, and that my training at Davao Regional Hospital last May 5 to July 25, 2008 can be credited for that one.

I am looking forward to be flying there in Pampanga anytime before November, as the second semester starts November, and that’s when I, with my friend Paul John who I convinced to apply too and come along with me, will start working.
